Investing in new wall padding for your gym is an absolute must to help protect your athletes. Simply purchasing the first option you see, though, just won’t work. Instead, a bit more effort needs to go into your selection. Consider this:

  • Your Wall Padding Has to Be a Perfect Fit: blog2 No two gyms are the same, and it can be tough to get the right fit for yours. Work with a company that offers custom measuring solutions to help ensure you get the fit you need. Don’t forget to ask about custom configurations to work around doors, outlets, and other features of your gym.
  • Your Wall Padding Has to Be Safe: There are lots of wall padding options out there, but not all of them will protect your athletes. Don’t go for the flimsy stuff just because it leaves a little wiggle room in your budget. Instead, select wall pads that are made for maximum protection.
  • You Need Help: You may need installation help. You may need service and support. You may need help instantly or you may need help in a year. Sooner or later, though, you’re going to have a question or concern, and you’ll need a team to turn to who has been there over the years for facilities just like yours. Select only a provider who will be there again and again, no matter what you need.
  • Your Wall Padding Has To Look Amazing: Think you have to go with something boring for your wall padding? Think again. From bright colors to logos and other sources of inspiration, your wall padding can enhance the entire look of your facility, so don’t choose anything that won’t do exactly that and allow you to imagine the design possibilities.

The right team has the passion and power to win the game no matter what the odds are. The level of spirit players bring to the field on game day is essential, but the reality is that you can have the best players in the world and still not win if you don’t have the right equipment. Sure, baseball is the one game that started in vacant spaces with simple sticks and balls of any shape and size, but it’s moved far beyond that today, so you can’t expect your players to perform well against teams that are better equipped. The solution? Professional baseball equipment from Carroll Seating Company.

Volleyball, in almost any form, offers a grace an intensity few other sports can match. From the excitement of beach volleyball to the camaraderie of team volleyball in an arena setting, it’s a sport that makes a meaningful contribution to many lives. As with any other sport, though, the right equipment is absolutely essential. Whether you’re trying to outfit a school team, a health club, or something more pressing, understanding exactly what to get right off the bat is important. Before you can even order what you want, though, you have a few decisions to make.

rbs1_82Indoor or Outdoor: While the basic equipment needed to play the game doesn’t vary from location to location, there are some specifics about each game that do vary. Decide whether you’re going with an indoor or outdoor court first. If it’s outdoor, will players be engaging in sand volleyball? If it’s an indoor court, you need some other information too. Is it going to be possible to anchor the net to the floor or walls? If not, there are still options available, but you can’t place an order until you know for sure.

Recreation or League Play: You may also want to know whether you have players who will be competing for recreational purposes or for professional ones. Those who will be competing at the professional level likely need very specific equipment to make their wins and losses valid ones. Those who are just looking for a fun Friday night event, though, won’t need the specifics the pros or semi-pros often do.

Once you’ve made your choices, you can start looking at required equipment. At the very basic level, you need a net and boundary markers. There are lots of options within those two choices, though, as well as a few accessories. For example, some nets come with an optional referee stand that attaches to the side of the net. You could also order stand padding or even tape to run down the sides of the net with your team’s name on it. If you’re building an outdoor court, you can get weatherproof options that will stand up to the toughest conditions.

Not sure where to begin? You may not be the best person to be ordering the equipment. Instead, sit down with the coach, league officials, or even players to help you carefully plan the court and the needed equipment before you place any orders. After all, if you intend to host bigger fish, you’ll need official status for your court, and you can only get that with the right equipment!

Basketball is easily one of the most beautiful games out there, but getting everything right from the beginning is an absolute must. Nowhere is that more true than in the equipment department. What do you need? How do you get it? This quick guide can help.

Make a List

Basketball-equipmentYour team is going to need a lot more than the right shoes and a couple of towels to become competitive, so you may want to start by taking inventory of what you already have and what you need to get started with practices, then a second list for what you might need to actually become a competitive team. Those two lists may not look so different, but they can help you keep your thoughts organized as you work to get off the ground. The list should certainly include basics like balls, uniforms, shoes (if your players won’t be buying them on their own), and backboards and hoops. It may also include pads and a variety of other equipment. If possible, you may want to reference any previously created lists or talk to previous coaches and team managers to get some idea of where to start.

Talk to Your League

One of the most important steps you can take is to consult with league officials to see exactly what you need to have on hand to play. Remember that every league is different, so understanding the rules and regulations before you get started is important. You don’t want to get disqualified because you chose the wrong equipment.

Shop Around

Don’t forget to look around for the best deals on equipment. Not every team is going to have an unlimited budget, so as long as time is on your side, look for the  best quality at the best price.

Need some help finding the right equipment for your team? We can help. Give us a call today to learn more about finding the perfect basketball equipment to get your season off on the right foot.
